This is by far the best book I have read on NDE and the afterlife. I have read it 3 times now and get more each time. It fits my religious beliefs and provides some great insights into the next part of our progression. I have a wife who has passed away and understanding more about where she is and where I expect to go gives me great comfort and hope. It does not replace scripture but it expands our view. Buy it! I felt very uplifted reading this and looking through the eyes and experiences of many individuals both religious and non religious.
I was expecting more experiences from actual NDE'rs but the same folks were used over and over again with their experiences. That's my only complaint if you can call it that. I am thoroughly enjoying this book because I'm able to understand the comparisons.
I enjoyed the way the material was presented and then expanded to bring many experiences together to support the things learned by each of the Individuals having this event in their life. I felt encouraged about purposes in this life and the importance of love and learning.
I am really enjoying this book! It has given me so much to think about. It's not doctrine, but it fits in very well with many of my beliefs. It makes me believe there really is a lot more to the next life than I previously thought. We are told that as spiritual beings, we will always be learning. The book has given me new insights into how that is possible. Can't wait to get there and check it out for myself! LOL
I discovered this book through Janet Russon....I have always been fascinated with life after death...George Ritchie ....return from tomorrow has helped in many ways...this book answers so many questions a & fits together so many pieces....never have I understood the great importance of our work for our family members on the other side.....Thank you, thank you...totally recommending this to others...
Excellent. I heard a podcast interview with Brent Top and was intrigued after hearing him speak about the topic. The book was so interesting and significant in its linking of scripture to NDE descriptions. I now see many of these scriptural descriptions with added clarity and understanding of what they might mean. Obviously, as Brent Top himself mentions several times throughout the book, there is no way to "prove" that what he is suggesting is absolutely accurate, true and and correct. But it is very good food for thought and the correlations between the experiences of those who have had NDEs and LDS doctrine on the afterlife are fascinating. This book is well worth the read for the LDS reader... after all, none of us are getting out of here alive...
This book was researched and assembled by a husband/wife team over years of work. It is more than adequately footnoted with verifiable sources.
It was particularly valuable to me because it contains accounts of NDE's from credible officers and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It also overlays and compares reported experiences from those within and without of that faith against the revealed doctrines of the scriptures and teachings of modern prophets.
Hard to put down.
